Asylum
Our office has represented many people who have fled their country because they have suffered harm because of their:
- race
- religion
- national origin
- membership in groups, and/or
- political opinions
Examples of the asylum seekers we have represented are:
- a Haitian man who was targeted because of his political activity
- a gay Ugandan woman who was forced into marriage with a man and suffered domestic violence
- a woman from Cameroon who was detained and tortured because of her membership in political organizations
- a Ugandan woman who was in fear of female circumcision by her tribe
- an Ethiopian boy who was targeted because of his mixed Ethiopian/Eritrean ethnicity
- a man from Somalia whose family members were killed because of their clan membership
- a Colombian student who was outspoken about her political beliefs
We have represented asylum claims from many countries including:
- Uganda
- Ethiopia

- Colombia
- Rwanda
- Haiti
- Nepal
- Algeria
- El Salvador
- Nigeria
We represent asylum seekers who have yet not filed their applications with USCIS and we also represent asylum seekers whose cases are in the Immigration Court.
